“It’s only a little bit. Surely it can’t hurt.”
“I had no idea food allergies are that serious!”
“But my child will only eat peanut butter.”
If you have, would you consider helping me to get the word out that, “Yes, a little bit CAN hurt” or worse?
Since my oldest child was diagnosed with severe food allergies 13 years ago, I have heard these and similar statements which motivated me in part to write A Little Bit CAN Hurt. To do so, I interviewed children, teens and adults with food allergies who openly shared their stories and provided invaluable personal insight. I have also interviewed professionals whose jobs involve the care of food-allergic individuals. These voices effectively convey the lessons of my book that food allergies can hurt, they are shocking, why we should care and what we can do.
My desire is to help people living with food allergies by providing information to them as well as their Food Allergy Circles which include family, friends, caregivers and educators. I want to do this on a large scale, but I need your help!
If you would like to help raise awareness about food allergies with a larger community, I’d love to have you on our team. I will give the first 50 people who contact me by November 18th a free pdf of my book, A Little Bit CAN Hurt. In return, I ask that you write an honest review of my book at Amazon.com by November 25, 2013.
Why am I asking for book reviews? Reviews give proof that something is important. With your help, I hope to show the Amazon community as well as other book vendors that food allergies are of paramount importance! We will need to work together to share the book with friends, family, school personnel and other groups as well as to get the word out on social media and blogs. By doing so, we will educate and raise awareness about food allergies.
If you’d like to join us, please message me, comment below or email me your email address for more details.
Thanks and be SAFE,
